How to Find Us

ON FOOT from the centre of the town: go along East Street and soon you will see Sun Lane on your right. The green is approx 100 yards up Sun Lane on the right.

PARKING

Alresford Bowling Club is located in Sun Lane. Car parking in front of the club and in the surrounding roads is often difficult. Thanks to the generosity of a local neighbour we have secured off-road parking for 3 - 4 visitors cars at Langton Garden Cottage (see map). There is a short walk to our bowling green, along the footpath beside the main road and into Sun Lane. However as part of the walk involves a slight incline we would suggest that heavy bowls are dropped off inside the club gates before parking. If using this facility please do not obstruct garage doors, entrance to the cottage or the five bar metal gate.

When travelling along the B3047 from the direction of Alton, on your right, you will pass “Longbarn Lavender Farm and Cafe”. The next entrance on your left will be the entrance to our visitor parking spaces at Langton Garden cottage. The entrance is located just before the high brick wall begins.

When travelling along East Street from the direction of Winchester, pass the entrance into Sun Lane and approximately 300 yards further on you will see the entrance on your right to our visitor parking spaces at Langton Cottage Garden, The entrance is located just after the high brick wall ends.

If further parking is needed, spaces can occasionally be found in Haig Road. Please, however respect the request of our neighbours to avoid parking in front of their houses, particularly the cottages between Haig Road and Nursery Road. Should you be fortunate in finding a space outside the bowls club in Sun lane, we suggest you turn in your wing mirrors as the lane here is particularly narrow!
